QUICK AND EASY TO INSTALL
Learn how to easily install Aozora pour-through replacement filters.
Step 1 – Clean well your hands with soap and water.
Step 2 – Remove the filter from the filter bag.

Step 3 – Let the filter soak in water for 15 minutes.
Step 4 – Make sure to hand-wash the water pitcher. The pitcher need to be washed each time before changing the filter.
Step 5 – Insert the filter into the lower reservoir. Press well to make sure the filter tightly fits-in.
Step 6 – Fill the reservoir with tap water. Let it filter the water, then discard the filtered water. Repeat the operation 3 times.
Step 7 – Enjoy fresh and clean tasting water straight from your tap.

his Performance Data Sheet has been obtained according to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 water testing. The concentration of the indicated substances in water entering the filter was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible level for water leaving the filtration system.
Note: TDS works by measuring the concentration of ionized metal through conductivity. Although our filter removes heavy metal ions including Mercury, Zinc, Copper, Cadmium, Chromium, etc., it doesn’t remove lighter metals like Calcium, Sodium, and Magnesium. Therefore, even after water filtering, the TDS reading will not go to 0 (zero) like Zerowater filters.
FAQ's
1. How often should I clean my pitcher?
We recommend hand washing the lid, reservoir, and carafe every 3-4 weeks with hot soapy water (DO NOT CLEAN THE FILTER). Whenever possible, keep the Aozora Filter Pitcher out of direct sunlight to prevent bacterial growth.
2. How do I know when the filter needs to be replaced?
Depending on the hardness of your water, pitcher filters should be changed every 80 gallons of water or about every 4 months, whichever comes first.
3. Why is the flow of water through my filter slow?
The water filtration of your Aozora water filter is slower than most competitors because our the 4-stage filtration which removes a much larger range of contaminants.
However, if you think that your water filter is filtering too slowly, you may need to re-flush your filter cartridge again by following the flushing instructions included in the user manual.

6. Why is TDS level after filtration not zero (0) ?
Many filters like Zerowater filters have been marketing themselves based on their ability to remove TDS. However, TDS is not a measure of water contaminants. Much of what constitutes TDS is actually healthy minerals like<strong> calcium and magnesium, which Aozora is designed NOT TO REMOVE.
Note: even if your water has a TDS reading of zero, it means that your water does not contain healthy minerals anymore.
According to the NSF Consumer Fact Sheet on TDS, which is linked below, “A TDS meter does not directly measure heavy metal contaminants such as lead or arsenic in the water. A TDS reading is not an indication as to whether a water filter is working properly to reduce these contaminants.”
7. Does Aozora filters remove healthy minerals from the tap water?
The Aozora filters are designed to keep healthy trace minerals in your water like calcium and magnesium while removing toxic contaminants.
8. Can I filter salt water?
No, Aozora water filters <strong>are not designed to filter salt water. We do not recommend using any of our products with anything but fresh water.
9. Can I filter fresh water from rivers or lakes while camping?

10. What should I do if water is leaking from the water reservoir?
Tighten the Water Filter Cartridge to the Water Reservoir to form a perfect seal.
